Procedure
Lipoma removal
Indication:
A lipoma is a growth of fatty tissue which develops under the skin. A lipoma can occur anywhere on the body but is most common on the chest, shoulders, chest, neck, thighs, trunk, and armpits.
Procedure:
An incision is made into the skin over the lipoma. The lipoma is excised, and the skin closed. A drain may be left depending on the size of the lipoma. The mass will be sent to the laboratory to exclude any cancer cells.
Duration:
Dependent on the size of the lipoma. Dr Jaffer will discuss this during the consultation.
